Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Land Access and Development Manager to join our team at SynCo Global. As the Land Access and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's land access and development approvals (DA) processes for renewable energy project. Reporting to the managing director, you will lead a team of professionals in developing and implementing land access and approval strategies that align with our company values and objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for securing land access and development approvals (DA) for renewable energy projects, in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Lead negotiations and consultations with landowners, government agencies, community stakeholders, and other relevant parties to secure land access and approvals in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure their support and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage the application and approval process for permits, licenses, and other regulatory requirements related to land access, environmental impact assessments, and other aspects of project development.

  • Work closely with the engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure that all land access and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and project teams on the status of land access and regulatory approvals, including any risks or issues that may impact project timelines or costs.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to land access and renewable energy development, and advise project teams accordingly.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in land access and approval processes, and work collaboratively with other departments to implement best practices and drive efficiency.

  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring that all activities related to land access and approvals are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in a related field such as environmental science, land management, or law

  • At least 5 years of experience in land access and development approvals management in the renewable energy or related industries

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating land access agreements with landowners and government agencies

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory framework related to land access and approvals

  • Experience managing teams and working with landowners, local communities and regulatory bodies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
